Wayfair opens first Perigold store in Houston as part of offline retail expansion

Wayfair’s luxury brand Perigold has officially opened its first brick-and-mortar store, a 20,000-square-foot flagship location in Houston’s Highland Village, marking a major step in the company’s physical retail strategy.

The upscale store features products from over 150 luxury home brands, including Visual Comfort, Century Furniture, Oly, House of Rohl, and Theodore Alexander.

The space also includes immersive designer-curated displays from Marie Flanigan, Julie Neill, Evan Millard, and Jessica Davis.

“Opening our first physical store is a transformative step for Perigold,” said Rebecca Ginns, global head of Perigold. “Houston is a city where design is celebrated and our customers are deeply engaged.”

Wayfair initially announced its first Perigold store would debut in West Palm Beach, Florida in fall 2025. That 30,000-square-foot location is still set to open later this year.

The Houston debut adds to Wayfair’s broader push into physical retail.

The company opened its first large-format Wayfair-branded store last year in Wilmette, Illinois, and plans to open new locations in Atlanta (2026) and Yonkers, New York (2027).

Previous physical openings also include stores under the AllModern and Joss & Main banners.

The Perigold store launch comes as Wayfair faces ongoing market headwinds. In its latest earnings, the company reported a 5.4% drop in active customers, though US revenue rose 1.6% to $2.4 billion.

International revenue fell nearly 11%, largely due to its exit from Germany.
