Specialty retailer Bath & Body Works has named Daniel Heaf as the new CEO following the departure of Gina Boswell, effective immediately.
He brings decades of experience to the role, having previously served as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Nike and worked in roles at Burberry and BBC Worldwide.
Sarah Nash, Chair of the Bath & Body Works Board, said: “Daniel is a forward-thinking leader with a remarkable track record of driving innovative, transformative growth across iconic global brands.
“He brings bold and direct leadership, which energizes and inspires teams to rally behind him. His vision for evolving Bath & Body Works to be highly coveted, relevant, and resonant for customers everywhere, combined with his consumer-first mindset, make him the right person to lead Bath & Body Works.”
During his time at Nike as VP of Nike Direct, Heaf oversaw 45,000 employees in 41 countries and drove the business revenue to $22.3 billion.
The reason behind the former CEO’s departure was not disclosed in the statement.
Nash added: “On behalf of the board, I want to thank Gina for her contributions to Bath & Body Works. In the post-COVID normalization period, she was able to stabilize the business and return it to profitable revenue growth.”
Sportswear apparel giant Nike has also recently undergone a leadership reshuffle as part of its business strategy moving forward.
Additionally, Bath & Body Works released strong first-quarter preliminary results with a projected net sales increase of 3% to $1.4 billion and earnings per share of $0.49 compared to $0.38 in the year prior.
