Amazon launches Enhance My Listing for third-party sellers

Amazon is increasing its support for third-party sellers by launching a new generative AI tool to help with product listings.

The new AI tool, Enhance My Listing, helps third-party merchants create relevant product titles, descriptions, and other missing details to streamline the research process.

Enhance My Listing allows users to review and customize the suggestions according to their preferences.

Amazon has launched the tool to an exclusive number of sellers and plans to further expand over the next coming weeks.

Jason Hunt of Campcraft Outdoors said: “Listings used to take me an hour, but with Gen AI, I just upload photos and have content generated in under 15 minutes. I have listings I haven’t touched in years, so updating those without the manual hassle would be just what I need.”

Additionally, the e-commerce giant is continuing to ramp up its AI initiatives, piloting an AI seller assistant called Project Amelia with a select number of US merchants.

Project Amelia leverages generative AI to provide sellers with responses, advice, and additional tools designed to help sellers.

As part of its future plans, Amazon will expand the tool to identify business opportunities and solve problems as well as optimize inventory and assist in revenue growth.

Mary Beth Westmoreland, VP, worldwide selling partner experience, Amazon added: “These impactful new tools are the latest examples of how Amazon is leveraging generative AI to transform nearly every experience we know—including how we support independent sellers in creating thriving businesses by selling in our store.”

In April, the e-commerce platform rolled out an AI tool that links to third-party websites and has also recently invested $4 billion into expanding its rural delivery network.
