Diageo renews partnership with Goodwill for training program

Diageo North America and Goodwill Kentucky have renewed their partnership to increase access to free job training and help Kentucky residents get skills to develop careers.

The company’s ‘Learning Skills for Life’ program will allow participants to receive training in areas including customer service, food safety, and financial literacy.

Additionally, selected members will receive personalized guidance from Goodwill Kentucky career coaches to help with employment opportunities.

According to the businesses, over 230 people have completed the program through Goodwill Kentucky since the partnership was first established in 2025.

Dennis Ritchie, VP of mission strategy and impact at Goodwill Kentucky said: “Goodwill Kentucky is grateful to continue our partnership with Diageo and expand opportunities for Kentuckians to build careers in hospitality.

“This investment provides valuable training and support that can help individuals move toward greater economic stability.”

Diageo has invested close to $290m in Kentucky since 2019, which supports over 1,700 jobs across distribution, retail, and hospitality.

Dr. Danielle Robinson, director of community engagement and programs at Diageo North America said: “At Diageo, we believe opportunity starts with access. Renewing our partnership with Goodwill Kentucky allows us to continue investing in people by helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in hospitality.

“Together, we’re creating pathways to rewarding careers while strengthening Kentucky’s hospitality workforce and the communities where we live and work.”

This renewed partnership is backed by a $100,000 grant from Diageo, which is open to Goodwill clients, employees, and the general public.
