DoorDash is expanding its discount retail footprint through a new partnership with Family Dollar, bringing roughly 7,000 of the chain’s stores onto the delivery platform.
The deal gives DoorDash users across the U.S. on-demand access to Family Dollar’s assortment of groceries, household essentials, health and beauty items, cleaning supplies and more. Family Dollar operates more than 7,500 locations nationwide as of June.

Shoppers can place orders by searching “Family Dollar” in the DoorDash app, adding items to their cart, and selecting on-demand or scheduled delivery with real-time tracking. The retailer will also be available through DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program that offers $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders.

The rollout follows a year of major change for Family Dollar. Parent company Dollar Tree Inc. closed the sale of the banner earlier this year to Brigade Capital Management and Macellum Capital Management for $1.01 billion in cash, a deal first announced in March.
