Dollar Tree Inc. is modernising how it manages its workforce by automating store-level operations and introducing new digital tools for employees.
The discount retailer is rolling out the Legion workforce management platform across its 9,000 stores and 18 distribution centres in North America.
The move aims to improve labour efficiency, strengthen compliance, and enhance engagement among the company’s 150,000 associates.
“As a retailer with more than 9,000 stores, 18 distribution centres, and over 150,000 associates, we needed a next-generation solution that would allow us to better manage our labour budget while increasing associate engagement,” said Jocelyn Konrad, chief of Dollar Tree stores and enterprise operations.
“Legion’s platform showed us we didn’t have to compromise. With Legion’s support, we are enhancing our workforce operations to improve associate workflows while delivering genuine value for our business.”
The partnership marks the first time Dollar Tree has implemented a unified engagement platform for its hourly workforce.
Through the Legion mobile app, associates can request schedule changes, swap shifts, communicate directly with managers, and view performance feedback and rewards, all from one interface.
According to Sanish Mondkar, CEO of Legion Technologies, the platform automates thousands of repetitive tasks across the company’s stores, enabling Dollar Tree to drive consistency and improve performance at scale.
“The platform also enhances compliance through powerful automation and visibility tools across multiple jurisdictions, while delivering advanced demand forecasting to optimise labour utilisation and ensure appropriate staffing levels,” Mondkar said.
The rollout supports Dollar Tree’s broader operational strategy of using technology to streamline workflows and improve the employee experience, while maintaining tight control over its labour costs.
